Pacific Monsters

New Story

Kia ora WordPress whānau,

What an awesome surprise, to see my story ‘Rabid Dogs’ up on Reflex Fiction and #longlisted yesterday!

There are a few more goodies of mine (writing-wise) in the pipeline before Kirihimete (Christmas).

The Nottingham Peacebuilders Anthology, Pacific Monsters Anthology (Fox Spirit Books), public speaking (eek) at the Creative Cities Southern Hui in Ōtepoti Dunedin next week, the Bath Flash Fiction Anthology…and some surprises too.

Mā te wā, see you again soon

how do i ignoreĀ the stonesimg_8120.jpg

thatĀ amputated pieces of me

my hair morphing from russet to grey

deciduous trees unaware of the fall

a faceless journey devoid of purpose

tarnished thoughts litter landscapes of ashen ground

countless stones that i carry

rest mottled upon my spine

Nottingham Peacebuilders

23215441_901634106669905_6200907508705752925_oI’m humbled to have a new story ‘Split’ included in the Nottingham Peacebuilders AnthologyĀ ‘Small Acts of Kindness’.

If you’re in the area (sadly I can’t jump on an international flight) check out the launch at Waterstones Nottingham, November 25th.

From one UNESCO City of Literature (Dunedin, New Zealand) to another (Nottingham) kia ora, thank you šŸ™‚

Elbow Room Vol.18

Kia ora WordPress whānau,

I’m super stoked to say Elbow Room (UK) have (re)published my story ‘Karanga’ in Vol.18 of their gorgeous art journalĀ

I love their commitment to hand binding these limited edition journals that are housed in places like The Poetry Library in London and The Scotland National Gallery.

It looks like Vol.18 is selling fast, so get cracking if you’d love a stunning piece of art (in the fabulous shape of a journal) in your hands and on your bookshelf.
